No matter what kind of reinvention the GOP is attempting to pull off in Tampa; the facts remain clear as day...
New Jersey's Governor Chris Christie, in his keynote, reveals his party's smoke-and-mirrors approach to forgetting about the past:

"It doesn't matter how we got here. There's plenty of blame to go around. What matters now is what we do."

Yes, governor, it does matter how we got here - especially when your party's policies will lead the country down the same road. And your party's platform*... seems to come from bizarro world. There's even a bit about removing the minimum wage in the Mariana Islands.

But you're right on one thing, Governor Christie; it does matter what we do now. It matters that, for almost four years, the GOP has been attempting to disown its former numbers one and two: President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney. We get it. We'd all love to forget about them too.

For the country, the process of forgetting (and rebuilding) began back in 2008 with the election of President Barack Obama. It is up to all of us now to decide whether Governor Christie and the rest of the GOP succeed in clouding your memory about exactly how it is we got here.
